Lighting & Fan Service came about because of business changes that have taken place since 1981. Paul Fetter started the business in 1981 under the name of Lamps & More. The buisiness grew to one of the largest lighting showrooms in Northwest Michigan. In 1997as the specialization of the business changed, the name also changed to Creative Lighting & Restoration which concentrated on custom lighting, restoration, repairs and retail of associated products. In 2004 Creative Lighting and Restoration was closed and Paul decided he might try and retire.  

After a few years of restoring and repairing lighting in his home shop it was decided to open another retail operation. This retail operation has a new twist.  Paul opened a consignment art gallery which is called Artisans Gallery of Traverse City along with Lighting & Fan Service at the same location. Actually it is much more than a Art Gallery, it is a very comfortable collection of eclectic works by over 80 artists and craftspeople from Michigan.

Lighting & Fan Service is the new name but Paul provides the same personal service he has since 1981. At the new retail location you will find those hard to find parts, lamp shades, replacement glass for Antiques and of course the creative services.

Whether you need just a simple repair or restoration of lighting in a whole house Paul can satisfy your needs. A specialty is also buffing and polishing of brass and copper items whether it be lighting or other items. Specialty faux painting can also be done to help match special finishes or to try and reclaim a look to your items that might be years old.

Lighting & Fan Service is also a factory service agent for Casablanca Fan Co. and has been since 1985.
